Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ¼ cup chopped onion
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 ¼ lb ground beef
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 2 tsp paprika
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
- ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- ½ cup plain full-fat Greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh mint
- 8 leaves butter lettuce
- 2 tbsp toasted slivered almonds
- salt and black pepper, to taste

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the onion until soft, then add the garlic for 30 seconds.

Add the beef and spices. Brown, breaking it up, until cooked through, and season with salt.

Stir in the parsley, cilantro, and lemon juice.

Mix the yogurt and mint. Spoon the beef into lettuce leaves and top with yogurt and almonds.
Tips
- Lamb or ground chicken also work well here.
- Moroccan cooking often adds raisins or honey. This version leaves them out to stay low-carb.
