Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tsp loose green tea (gunpowder or similar)
  • 1 cup fresh mint, loosely packed
  • 1 tbsp granulated erythritol (optional)

Steps

  1. 1

Bring the water to a boil in a small pot. Pour a little over the tea in a teapot, swirl, and discard that rinse water.

  2. 2

Add the mint, the remaining boiling water, and the sweetener if using. Steep until fragrant.

  3. 3

Pour from a height into small glasses so it froths slightly.

Tips

  • Traditional Moroccan mint tea uses a lot of sugar. This version is unsweetened by default.
  • Taste before sweetening. Fresh mint adds natural sweetness.
