Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lb sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • salt and black pepper, to taste
Milk

Always check labels of packaged products if you have an allergy or intolerance.

Steps

  1. 1

Pat the steak cubes dry and season generously with salt and pepper.

  2. 2

Heat the olive oil in a large cast-iron skillet over high heat until it just begins to smoke.

  3. 3

Sear the steak in two batches, turning once, until browned on all sides. Do not crowd the pan.

  4. 4

Lower the heat to medium. Return all the steak to the pan, add the butter and garlic, and stir until the butter melts and the garlic is fragrant.

  5. 5

Sprinkle with parsley and serve right away.

Tips

  • Work in batches so the steak sears instead of steaming.
  • Rest the cooked bites for 2 minutes before serving.
